The objective of Forklift Operator training is to provide classroom instruction in the principles of safe equipment operation for the drivers of powered industrial trucks.

All employees whose job responsibilities include the operation of powered industrial trucks (forklifts, motorized hand trucks, etc.) must receive training in their safe use. This training program is designed to satisfy the training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.178.
